Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Unfreezes Cropmate's Bank Accounts; Shares Up 3%
Cropmate (KLSE:CRPMATE) said all its affected bank accounts and its subsidiary have been unfrozen by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, according to a filing to the Malaysian stock exchange on Thursday.The fertilizer manufacturer clarified that no director, officer, employee or representative of the group has been arrested or charged with any offence arising from the matter.It also said that neither the company nor its subsidiary has been made the subject of any forfeiture proceedings in connection with the investigation.In late April, the anti-corruption body had frozen certain bank accounts of the company and its subsidiaries in connection with an ongoing anti-money laundering investigation.The company's shares were up nearly 3% in Friday's trade.
