Bintai Kinden, Yeo Eng Lam Reach Settlement in MYR9 Million Dispute

Bintai Kinden (KLSE:BINTAI) and Yeo Eng Lam have reached an amicable out-of-court settlement to fully resolve their legal dispute, according to a Friday filing.Under the settlement, the terms of which were not disclosed, both parties will withdraw their respective claims and counterclaims, with no order as to costs.According to a July 7, 2025 filing, Bintai Kinden had initiated legal proceedings against Yeo Eng Lam to recover 9.1 million ringgit related to a profit guarantee associated with the acquisition of Johnson Medical International.

Bintai Kinden Unit Proposes MYR15 Million Debt Settlement Plan

Bintai Kinden (KLSE:BINTAI) unit Optimal Property Management has proposed a settlement plan under which Universiti Islam Melaka will pay 14.7 million ringgit in monthly concession payments.Under the proposal, Universiti Islam Melaka will pay 600,000 ringgit in September, 700,000 ringgit monthly from October to December, 1 million ringgit monthly throughout 2027, and 2 million ringgit quarterly for five quarters through September 2027.Separately, Universiti Islam Melaka will pay 10 million ringgit in additional payments towards outstanding debt.Universiti Islam Melaka is targeting either settlement of Optimal Property's outstanding debt and MBSB financing followed by termination of the concession, or a takeover of OPM by September 2027, extendable to December 2027.

Bintai Kinden Arm Bags Land Development Contract Worth MYR296.5 Million; Shares Jump 7%

Kejuruteraan Bintai Kindenko, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bintai Kinden (KLSE:BINTAI) has secured a contract worth 296.5 million ringgit for residential and commercial land development, according to a Wednesday filing to the Malaysian stock exchange.The company's shares were up nearly 7% in Thursday's trade.The contract was awarded through an open tender invitation issued by PLUS Malaysia for the development of two land parcels of around 103 acres in Ayer Keroh, Melaka, Malaysia.The project is expected to contribute positively to the Bintai Group's earnings from the financial year ending March 31, 2029 onwards.
