First Mining Gold (FF.TO) has been informed by Chiefs and Councils of Cat Lake First Nation (CLFN) and Lac Seul First Nation (LSFN) that the Nations authorized the Springpole project subject to important terms, following the completion of the Anishnaabe Led Impact Assessment (ALIA) Process for the Springpole Gold project undertaken by CLFN and LSFN, it said on Tuesday.Informed by the ALIA, there are 35 negotiated terms secured in the term sheet agreement. The project authorization by Cat Lake and Lac Seul Chiefs and Councils is conditional on finalizing the term sheet agreement into a binding Springpole project agreement, it said.In another press release, CLFN said it finalized a landmark agreement to mobilize development of an all-season access road to CLFN in northwestern Ontario with First Mining Gold. First Mining has committed up to $4 million to directly fund road permitting, right-of-way clearing, geotechnical fieldwork, and detailed engineering design to start in summer 2026, it said.Shares of First Mining Gold closed up 9.1% at $0.48 on Monday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

First Mining Gold (FF.TO) has commenced project activities and signed a new drilling partnership at the Duparquet gold project in Quebec, the company said on Thursday.The partnership is with Forage Anicinape, an Indigenous-led drilling company established through a partnership between Forages Rouillier and the Cooperative de solidarite de Pikogan, representing the Pikogan First Nation.First Mining's initial 2026 drill campaign at Duparquet is expected to total about 12,000 meters, building on the last three years of exploration and project advancement work at the project.The 2026 drilling program commenced in the second quarter and will include follow-up drilling at the Miroir target, a key priority area and growth target.

First Mining Gold (FF.TO) has posted final results from a 2025 exploration drilling program at the Duparquet gold project in Quebec, the company said on Tuesday.The results are from the newly discovered Minuit zone, as well as the North Zone and South Zone targets. Drilling continues to demonstrate higher grade gold mineralization across multiple targets at the Duparquet project.North Zone Target highlights include 15.14 grams per tonne gold over 5.0 meters, including 73.40 g/t over 1.0 m and 1.88 g/t gold over 16.9 m. From the South Zone Target, highlights include 6.18 g/t gold over 2.95 m.Minuit Target highlights include 9.87 g/t gold over 2.75 m, including 17.90 g/t gold over 0.7 m.

FireFly Metals Provides "Outstanding" Drill Results from Green Bay Project

FireFly Metals (FFM.TO) outlined "outstanding" drill results from the Green Bay copper-gold project in Newfoundland and Labrador, as part of the company's quarterly activities report released late Wednesday.Highlights include 70.8 meters at 4.0% copper equivalent and 53.3 meters at 4.1% copper equivalent.The results are expected to drive an upcoming resource update in June. A preliminary economic assessment/scoping study is on track for completion in mid-2026, FireFly said.The current resource estimate for the projects outlines 50.4 million tonnes grading 2.0% copper equivalent in the measured and indicated categories, plus 29.3 million tonnes at 2.5% copper equivalent in the inferred category.FireFly has completed about 174,000 meters of underground diamond core drilling at the Ming Mine, the project's flagship deposit, since acquiring the property in October 2023.

First Mining Gold (FF.TO)'s interest in the Pickle Crow gold project in Ontario dropped to 20% from 30% after Bellavista Resources closed the acquisition of a stake in the project, it said Wednesday.Bellavista acquired the stake in PC Gold, the entity that holds the project, from FireFly Metals (FFM.TO).Bellavista has exercised its buy-down right at the project, paying C$3 million to First Mining to reduce First Mining's ownership in PC Gold from 30% to 20%.First Mining's interest in PC Gold is free carried to a decision to mine at Pickle Crow, the company said.Shares in FF edged down in Canada yesterday.

First Mining Provides Update on Springpole Gold Project

First Mining Gold (FF.TO) has voluntarily agreed to a short extension to the environmental assessment decision date on the Springpole Gold Project, until June 30, 2026, following discussions with the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada, the company said Thursday.The original IAAC decision date on the Springpole Project was May 22, 2026, and the extension will provide IAAC additional time to complete the final EA report, it noted.Cat Lake and Lac Seul First Nations have completed their independent Anishinaabe Led Impact Assessment (ALIA) on the Springpole Project, said First Mining, adding it supported them in doing that. The communities are preparing to vote, based on the findings of the ALIA, on June 4, 2026, First Mining noted. "The short extension will allow the communities to continue working with the provincial and federal government to achieve the necessary measures to ensure they can meaningfully participate in the Project," the company added.Shares in FF were down $0.02 or near 4.2% at $0.46 in Canada yesterday.
