Vitrafy Life Sciences (ASX:VFY) has partnered with US healthcare organization Vitalant Innovation Center to address a "looming crisis" for red blood cell preservation, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.The companies aim to configure Vitrafy's cryopreservation ecosystem as a successor to legacy technology and products that will be discontinued from 2027, which poses a threat to red blood cell stockpiles, per the filing.To support that objective, Vitrafy will initially place two cryopreservation freezing units at the Vitalant Innovation Center in Denver.
