Torque Metals Identifies High-Grade Gold Mineralization at Paris Gold Project

Torque Metals (ASX:TOR) said it identified high-grade gold mineralization during recent drilling at its Paris gold project in the Kalgoorlie South region of Western Australia, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.The results were of up to 1.4 meters at 32.33 grams per tonne gold from 506.9 meters down-hole, including 0.4 meters at 103 grams per tonne gold.Diamond drilling at Paris continues to define the high-grade domain boundaries in the Paris Lower 2 zone, making for a more robust resource as well as enhancing knowledge of the Paris orebody at depth, according to the filing.An interim mineral resource estimate update for the Paris gold project remains on track for release in the second quarter, the filing added.

Torque Metals Says Western Australia Gold Deposit Drilling Extends High-Grade Mineralization; Shares Fall Past 11%

Torque Metals (ASX:TOR) said ongoing in-fill and extensional drilling at the Paris gold deposit in Western Australia extended high-grade mineralization more than 60 meters beyond previous drilling, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.It encountered intercepts of 17.1 meters at 2.8 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of gold from 513 meters down-hole, as well as 5 meters at 4.5 g/t grade of gold from 206 meters.Extensional drilling targeting down-hole electromagnetic conductors continued to intersect strong mineralization outside the mineral resource estimate envelope, the company said. An interim mineral resource estimate update for the project remains on track for the June quarter.Torque Metals' shares fell past 11% in recent trading on Monday.

Torque Metals Says Drilling Results Continue to Extend Mineralization at Western Australia Gold Project; Shares Fall 5%

Torque Metals (ASX:TOR) continued to extend mineralization at its Paris gold deposit in Western Australia in the March quarter following the receipt of drill results, including 20 meters at 5.79 grams per tonne grade of gold from 222 meters, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.Additional diamond drilling is planned to better define new high-grade shoot boundaries at the site, and an interim mineral resource estimate update for the Paris project is scheduled for the second quarter, the company said.Torque Metals ended the March quarter with a cash balance of about AU$12.2 million, which the company said puts it in a "strong capital position" to support ongoing multi-rig drilling.The company's shares fell 5% in recent Tuesday trade.
