Torque Metals (ASX:TOR) identified high-grade gold during recent drilling at its Paris gold project in Western Australia, with new mineralization intersected outside the current mineral resource estimates at both the Observation and HHH deposits, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The results were up to 2.7 meters at 5.2 grams per tonne gold from 201.2 meters downhole, including 0.4 meters at 29.97 grams per tonne gold.
Exploration and growth drilling continues across the broader Paris project area, with Observation and HHH now a key focus for resource growth, in parallel with ongoing drilling targeting a potential additional lode at the Paris gold deposit, the filing added.
The company's shares rose 11% in recent Monday trade.
