Pan African Resources Completes South Africa Tailings Project Definitive Feasibility Study

Pan African Resources (ASX:PAF) completed the definitive feasibility study for the Soweto tailings retreatment project, evaluating the construction of a 600,000 tonnes-per-month operation, located adjacent to the group's Mogale tailings retreatment operations in South Africa, according to a Friday ASX filing.The study showed annual gold production of 35,000 ounces to 40,000 ounces from Soweto, with life-of- mine production of around 561,000 ounces over a 15-year project life. Life-of-mine all-in sustaining cost came in at around $1,750 per ounce to $1,800 per ounce, excluding cost savings from renewable energy supply.The study's value-engineered project capital estimate was around 3.68 billion South African Rand.The Soweto cluster tailings storage facilities include mineral reserves of around 108 million tonnes at 0.28 grams per tonne, containing approximately 980,000 ounces of gold.

Pan African Resources Expects Fiscal 2026 EPS Growth of Up to 151%; Shares Fall 5%

Pan African Resources (ASX:PAF) said it expects to report fiscal 2026 earnings of between $0.1724 and $0.1796 per share, a year-over-year increase of between 141% and 151% from $0.0716 per share, according to a late Thursday Australian bourse filing.Headline EPS for the year ended June 30 is expected to be between $0.1735 and $0.1794 per share.The company expects to report higher revenue as a result of a nearly 55% rise in the average gold price received and an over 38% jump in gold sold.Group production for the year ending June 30, 2027, is expected to grow between 280,000 and 302,000 ounces, the company said.The company's shares fell past 5% in recent trading on Friday.
