Nordic Resources (ASX:NNL) said locked cycle and variability testing on mineralized samples from its Kopsa gold-copper project in Finland confirmed high recoveries for gold, copper, and silver into high payability concentrates and doré, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.The results were up to 24% copper, 115 grams per tonne gold (g/t), and 301 g/t silver from the Stockwork samples, and 25% copper, 42 g/t gold, and 260 g/t silver from the Tonalite samples, both from locked cycle testing.The company said the testing completes the initial metallurgical program for the 815,000-ounce gold equivalent Kopsa deposit, with a new 12,000-meter drill program recently commenced at the project.

Nordic Nickel (ASX:NNL) said step-out diamond core drilling at the Kopsa gold-copper project in Finland revealed extensive mineralization to the southwest of the deposit, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.It encountered intercepts of 34 meters at 0.92 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of gold, 0.1% grade of copper, and 2 g/t grade of silver from 231 meters, 29 meters at 0.79 g/t grade of gold, 0.1% grade of copper, and 2 g/t grade of silver from 261 meters, as well as 44 meters at 0.40 g/t grade of gold, 0.2% grade of copper, and 3 g/t grade of silver from 208 meters.Results from the Kopsa metallurgical program are expected during the September quarter, the company said.Nordic Nickel's shares jumped nearly 3% in recent trading on Wednesday.

Nordic Nickel (ASX:NNL) intersected further mineralized extensions along strike and at depth, and beyond the current resource boundary at the Kopsa project in Finland, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.Three holes drilled in the northern zone of the project returned 55 meters at 0.47 grams per tonne grade of gold, 0.18% copper and 2 g/t silver from 291 meters, including 4.5 meters at 2.50 g/t grade of gold, 0.19% copper and 5 g/t silver from 340 meters, and 15 meters at 0.48 g/t grade of gold, 0.12% copper and 3 g/t silver from 368 meters, the filing said.Results from the metallurgical test program at the project are expected to be received in the third quarter of the year, per the filing.

Nordic Resources Identifies High-Grade Gold Mineralization at Finland Project

Nordic Resources (ASX:NNL) said it identified high-grade gold mineralization during a recent drilling at the Vesipera prospect within the Kiimala project in Finland, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.The results were of up to 1.9 meters at 13.8 grams per tonne grade of gold and 0.22% copper from 29.1 meters, including 0.9 meters at 28.5 g/t grade of gold and 0.04% copper from 30.1 meters.The company said Vesipera hosts a historical, non-compliant mineral resource estimate (MRE), with plans to update the drilling database and potentially compile the first JORC 2012-compliant MRE for Vesipera later in the year.Subsequent drilling at the Kiimala Trend has been completed at the Angesneva deposit with assays expected in the coming weeks, while step-out drilling to the southwest, southeast, and north of the nearby 815,000-ounce gold equivalent Kopsa deposit is currently ongoing, the filing added.
