GenusPlus Group's (ASX:GNP) deal to acquire energy and resource services firm MPC Kinetic is "hugely accretive" and will allow the company to essentially double its earnings, Euroz Hartleys said in a Wednesday note.The investment firm estimates that the "transformational" acquisition, which carries a price tag of up to AU$400 million, could be accretive by more than 50% in 2027."The acquisition rational, beyond the attractive maths, is to add gas gathering and well maintenance services as an adjunct to the Genus Plus distribution business," Euroz Hartleys said, adding that the deal will give GenusPlus a diversity of services that are consistent with its strategy.The equity research firm maintained a buy recommendation on GenusPlus while raising its target price to AU$13.56 from AU$9.15.GenusPlus Group's shares gained 1% in recent Wednesday trade and earlier hit a record high.

GenusPlus Group Raises Fiscal 2026 Normalized EBITDA Guidance

GenusPlus Group (ASX:GNP) increased its fiscal 2026 normalized earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) guidance to between AU$96 million and AU$100 million, up from previous guidance of about AU$91 million, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.The company said the updated guidance represents growth of about 42% to 48% on normalized fiscal 2025 EBITDA of AU$67.4 million, with about AU$2 million to AU$3 million of the growth expected to come from the acquisition of Railtrain Holdings, which closed on April 1.Normalized earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) excluding acquisition amortization is expected to be between AU$76 million and AU$80 million, it added.

GenusPlus Group to Acquire Energy, Resource Services Company for AU$400 Million

GenusPlus Group (ASX:GNP) agreed to acquire 100% of the issued capital of energy and resource services firm MPC Kinetic for a total consideration of up to AU$400 million, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.The transaction includes an upfront payment of AU$325 million in cash, a deferred cash payment of AU$25 million payable six months after completion, and earn-out cash consideration of up to AU$50 million, subject to achieving the fiscal year 2027 earnings before interest and taxes target of AU$70 million, the filing said.The consideration is expected to be funded through an equity raise of up to AU$200 million, with the remaining upfront, deferred, and earn-out consideration to be funded from the company's upsized debt facility, existing cash reserves, and operating cash flows, per the filing.
