Centaurus Metals Says Unit to Receive Brazilian State Tax Incentives

Centaurus Metals (ASX:CTM) said its wholly-owned Brazilian unit, Centaurus Níquel, which controls its Jaguar nickel sulfide project in Brazil, was selected by the state of Pará to receive state tax incentives in respect to the project's development, starting immediately, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.The incentive is applicable to the state tax on operations involving the sale of goods and interstate and intermunicipal transport and communication services known as ICMS.Its shares rose 1% in recent trading on Monday.

Centaurus Metals Delineates New Exploration Targets at Brazil Copper-Gold Project, Shares Jump 6%

Centaurus Metals (ASX:CTM) delineated new exploration targets from initial surface exploration activities at its Rio Novo copper-gold project in Brazil, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.An initial soils geochemistry program collected over 2,000 samples collected to date and identified multiple copper-in-soil anomalies of over two kilometers. A fixed loop electromagnetic survey is underway at the project, and a drone magnetic survey is expected to begin soon. A drilling campaign is planned in the September quarter.A drilling program at its Boi Novo copper-gold project, also in Brazil, encountered intercepts of 5.5 meters at 8.38% grade of copper from 147 meters, as well as 6.8 meters at 1.89% grade of copper and 1.08 grams per tonne grade of gold from 107.6 meters.Its shares jumped 6% in recent trading on Wednesday.

Centaurus Metals Receives Non-Binding Offers of Up to $320 Million to Finance Brazil Nickel Development

Centaurus Metals (ASX:CTM) received multiple proposals of over $250 million to fund the development of its Jaguar Nickel Sulphide Project in northern Brazil, including non-binding offers for up to $320 million, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.The company received the interest after soliciting proposals from a group of international financiers, including the Brazilian National Development Bank from which it received a letter of intent, per the filing.Centaurus Metals is in the process short-listing preferred financiers ahead of planned site visits and due diligence. The company said it plans to name a preferred financier or syndicate in the third quarter to coincide with a final investment decision on the project.Centaurus shares gained nearly 1% in recent Monday trading.
