Channel Infrastructure (ASX:CHI, NZE:CHI) completed a fast-tracked project at its Marsden Point Energy Precinct, making 93 million liters of diesel storage capacity available to the New Zealand Government, according to a Monday filing with the New Zealand bourse.The project, completed over nine weeks with support from Northland contractors, involved installing more than 750 meters of new pipework and added enough storage capacity to meet about nine additional days of New Zealand's diesel demand, per the filing.The company said that additional jet fuel storage capacity for Z Energy is expected to become operational in July.The company will retain around 350 million liters of tank capacity for future fuel security initiatives after both projects are completed, it added.

Channel Infrastructure (NZE:CHI, ASX:CHI) confirmed an agreement with the New Zealand Government to add 93 million liters of diesel storage at its Marsden Point Energy Precinct, equivalent to around nine more days of national diesel demand, according to a Monday filing with the New Zealand and Australian bourses.The storage, expected to be available by May 31 under a contract running through Dec. 31, 2027, is projected to generate around NZ$1.2 million in monthly revenue once operational, per the filing.The work is already underway, including tank preparation, pipeline connections, and installation of pumping and instrumentation systems, the filing said.The company expects to complete the project within its current debt capacity and anticipates it could generate about NZ$8 million in additional revenue in 2026, while maintaining earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization guidance of NZ$95 million to NZ$100 million amid ongoing uncertainty in fuel demand, the filing added.The company's Kiwi shares gained 1% in recent Monday trade.

Channel Infrastructure Says Fuel Throughput Rises in Q1

Channel Infrastructure (NZE:CHI, ASX:CHI) said that its fuel throughput rose 2% to 931 million liters for the quarter ended March 31, compared with 915 million liters a year earlier, according to a Wednesday filing with the New Zealand bourse.The jet, diesel, and petrol throughput in the quarter were 404 million, 276 million, and 251 million liters, respectively, compared with 381 million, 261 million, and 273 million liters a year earlier.Thirteen import shipments were received during the quarter, unchanged from the number of ship movements in the prior corresponding period.Net borrowings increased to NZ$338 million as of March 31, with conversion spending staying within budget at NZ$192 million.
