Broken Hill Gold Begins Geophysics Program, Mobilises Second Drill Rig at South Australia Project
Broken Hill Gold (ASX:BH6) said it began a geophysics program at the White Dam gold-copper project in South Australia, comprising 48 line-kilometers of pole-dipole induced polarization (IP) and 670 line-kilometers of high-resolution ground magnetics over the Icebreaker and regional targets, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.The company said the geophysics program will also include coverage of the Vertigo, White Dam East, Mary Mine, Green & Gold and Wilkins prospects, several of which have historical shallow oxide-hosted gold and copper drill intersections and no deep drilling to test primary sulphide mineralization potential.A second drill rig is mobilizing to site this week, with diamond drilling planned to test the Icebreaker gold-copper sulphide zone following completion of the geophysics program, along with strategic drilling beneath the Vertigo and Hannaford pits to test gold-copper sulphide targets, with geophysics scheduled to be completed by mid-October, it added.
