BlinkLab's ADHD European Case-Control Study Achieves High Sensitivity, Specificity Results; Shares Jump 10%
BlinkLab (ASX:BB1) said its European case-control study of smartphone-based digital neurobehavioral biomarkers in children between the ages of 6 years and 17 years, both with and without attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), achieved sensitivity of 82% and specificity of 83%, relative to its clinical diagnostic reference standard, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.The participants were recruited across multiple Mental Care Group centers in the Netherlands, as well as from the general community, and completed smartphone-based assessments, which were designed to collect digital neurobehavioral biomarkers, the firm said.The firm's machine learning Dx2 algorithm correctly identified 82% of participants in the group with a confirmed clinical diagnosis of ADHD as exhibiting the target neurobehavioral features associated with the disorder, and correctly classified 83% of children in the comparison group, per the filing.Its shares jumped nearly 10% in recent trading on Wednesday.
