BlinkLab's ADHD European Case-Control Study Achieves High Sensitivity, Specificity Results; Shares Jump 10%

BlinkLab (ASX:BB1) said its European case-control study of smartphone-based digital neurobehavioral biomarkers in children between the ages of 6 years and 17 years, both with and without attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), achieved sensitivity of 82% and specificity of 83%, relative to its clinical diagnostic reference standard, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

The participants were recruited across multiple Mental Care Group centers in the Netherlands, as well as from the general community, and completed smartphone-based assessments, which were designed to collect digital neurobehavioral biomarkers, the firm said.

The firm's machine learning Dx2 algorithm correctly identified 82% of participants in the group with a confirmed clinical diagnosis of ADHD as exhibiting the target neurobehavioral features associated with the disorder, and correctly classified 83% of children in the comparison group, per the filing.

Its shares jumped nearly 10% in recent trading on Wednesday.

Hanwha Aerospace Ends KRW455 Billion Supply Contract with UK's Vertical Aerospace

Hanwha Aerospace (KRX:012450) said it terminated a 454.8 billion won contract with U.K.-based Vertical Aerospace, according to a Tuesday filing with the Korea Exchange.The contract, signed in August 2022, involved the development and supply of electromechanical actuators, tilting systems and blade pitch systems for Vertical Aerospace's VX4 aircraft.The South Korean aerospace company said the decision was made by mutual agreement following changes in market conditions and business direction relative to the project's original objectives.Hanwha said the companies simultaneously signed a memorandum of understanding to maintain their cooperative relationship and lay the groundwork for future collaboration on similar projects.Shares of Hanwha Aerospace jumped over 10% in recent trade.
