Peel Mining Says Shareholders Vote in Favor of Aeris Acquisition, Spectre Metals Demerger

Peel Mining (ASX:PEX) said its shareholders voted in favor of a proposed scheme of arrangement under which Aeris Resources (ASX:AIS) will acquire 100% of the issued shares in Peel, and the demerger of Spectre Metals from Peel via a capital reduction and pro rata in-specie distribution of 100% of the shares in Spectre to Peel shareholders, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.The company said almost 100% of the votes cast by Peel shareholders were in favor of the scheme resolution.The scheme remains subject to the approval of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and certain other conditions.Peel Mining's shares jumped 3% in recent Monday trade, while Aeris Resources' shares surged past 9%.

Peel Mining Says Court Approves Shareholder Meeting for Planned Acquisition by Aeris Resources; Aeris Resources Shares Fall 5%

Peel Mining (ASX:PEX) said the Supreme Court of New South Wales made orders that it convene a meeting of Peel shareholders to consider and vote on a scheme of arrangement under which Aeris Resources (ASX:AIS) plans to acquire the company, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.The court also approved the distribution of an explanatory statement providing information about the scheme. The meeting will be held on June 15.Shares of Aeris Resources fell past 5% in recent trading on Tuesday, while Peel Mining's shares jumped almost 4%.

Aeris Resources Reports Lower Group Copper-Equivalent Production in March Quarter

Aeris Resources (ASX:AIS) said its group copper-equivalent production for the March quarter came in at 10,400 tonnes at an all-in sustaining cost of AU$4.86 per pound of copper-equivalent, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.The company's group copper-equivalent production for the March 2025 quarter was 10,700 tonnes at an all-in sustaining cost of AU$4.91 per pound of copper-equivalent, according to an earlier filing.Copper produced from the Tritton operations in New South Wales was slightly below the revised plan due to lower grade mined from both underground and open pit, per the filing. Fiscal 2026 production is forecast to be within the low end of guidance.The board approved the start of early works construction for the Constellation project to support the Tritton life of mine, and initial activities are scheduled to begin in May, the filing said.The Cracow project in Queensland produced 10,100 ounces of gold at all-in sustaining cost of AU$3,442 per ounce, compared with 9,000 ounces produced at increased all-in sustaining cost of AU$3,473 per ounce in the year-ago quarter.Aeris Resources' shares advanced nearly 2% in recent trading on Wednesday.
