Zentek (ZEN.V) has formed a joint venture with ALO Graphite Partners focused on advancing the Albany graphite project in Ontario.
Strategic Graphite Partners will support U.S. customer engagement, offtake discussions, industry engagement, government relations, and the evaluation of potential funding opportunities for the project, Zentek said Friday.
Zentek subsidiary Zentek USA owns 90% of the joint venture, while ALO owns the remaining 10%.
"Strategic Graphite Partners gives allied-sourced Albany material a footprint inside the U.S. value chain, where it can be qualified by U.S. customers and emerging government-supported programs," Zentek CEO Moe Jiwan said.
Ultra-high-purity graphite from Albany can be used in energy, defense, and national security markets, Zentek said.
