Zacatecas Silver Extends Oso Negro Vein System, Advances Targets Toward Drilling

Zacatecas Silver's (ZAC.V) second phase of rock chip sampling at its Oso Negro project in Sonora, Mexico, returned individual grab samples grading up to 20.3 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 3,480 g/t silver and extended the mapped vein system to more than 3 kilometers, it said in a statement on Thursday.

Sampling also confirmed continuous gold-silver mineralization along the full 600 meter strike length of the Prospecto vein. Both its Prospecto and Tere veins are now drill-ready with drill plan designs and permitting underway, it said.

The company collected a total of 156 rock chip samples during Phase One. A further 354 rock chip samples were collected and submitted for assay during Phase Two, it said.

Shares of the company closed unchanged at CA$0.065 on Wednesday on the TSX Venture Exchange.
