WuXi AppTec's Attributable Profit Climbs 34% in H1; Revenue Up

WuXi AppTec (HKG:2359, SHA:603259) recorded a 34% rise in attributable net profit to owners for the six months ended June 30 to 11.1 billion yuan from 8.29 billion yuan a year prior.

Earnings per share increased to 3.76 yuan from 2.89 yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Monday Hong Kong bourse filing.

Revenue jumped 39% to 28.9 billion yuan from 20.8 billion yuan previously.

The drug research and development company declared a mid-year dividend of 5.10 yuan for every 10 shares. The dividend is expected to be paid by Sept. 4 to shareholders of record on Aug. 26.

Horizon Gold (ASX:HRN) identified high-grade gold mineralization during recent drilling at its Gum Creek gold project's Kingfisher, Hawk and Swan deposits in Western Australia, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.The results were up to 23 meters at 5.26 grams per tonne gold from 188 meters, including 15 meters at 7.65 grams per tonne gold.Follow-up reverse circulation and diamond drilling is being planned at all three prospects, with diamond and reverse circulation drilling continuing across the Gum Creek project area, the filing added.The company's shares rose 3% in recent Monday trade.
