Wipro (NSE:WIPRO, BOM:507685) is acquiring an additional 20% stake in US-based insurance technology company Aggne Global IT Services for $2.1 million, according to a filing to the Indian stock exchanges on Thursday.
The company's shares were down nearly 3% in Friday's trade.
The transaction is expected to be completed by June 30, after which Wipro's shareholding in Aggne will increase to 80%.
In 2024, Wipro and its step-down subsidiary Wipro IT Services acquired a 60% stake in Aggne.
