Whitecap Resources (WCP.TO) reported second quarter net income per share of C$0.73, compared to C$0.33, a year earlier.
Petroleum and natural gas revenues increased to C$2.63 billion for the three months ended June 30, 2026, compared with C$1.37 billion, a year-ago.
The company increased its annual production guidance to average between 384,000 and 386,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d), from its previous guidance range of 378,000 to 382,000 boe/d. The company also expects its 2026 capital spending to be at the high end of its previously announced C$2.0 billion to C$2.1 billion budget range, it added.
Shares of the company closed up 2.7% to C$16.02 on Wednesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
