Westpac Banking (ASX:WBC, NZE:WBC) is set to launch a pilot community banking service program in the regional Victorian towns of Woodend, St Arnaud, and Wedderburn in August, according to a Tuesday statement.
As part of the service, Westpac bankers will visit participating towns fortnightly to provide customers with in-person support and expertise.
"This expansion means the service will now be operating in 14 regional towns across three [Australian] states," said Carolyn McCann, CEO of the bank's consumer division.
