Western Forest Products (WEF.TO) after the market closed on Wednesday reported second-quarter earnings-per-share at C$1.10 compared with a loss of C$1.62 per share for the same period last year.
The Vancouver-based company reported second-quarter net income at C$10.5 million, in contrast to a loss of C$17.4 million in the same period last year. It surpassed FactSet consensus of a loss of C$1.05 per share.
Revenue during the period dropped to C$239.6 million from C$289.1 million in the prior year period, exceeding FactSet consensus of C$233 million.
In its outlook, the company said it expects North American lumber markets to be relatively stable through most of the third quarter of 2026.
Company's shares closed down C$0.61 to C$17.85 on Toronto Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
