Walt Disney's (DIS) fiscal Q3 results are expected to reflect accelerating EPS growth as H1 headwinds are lapped, UBS said in a Monday report. The results are due Aug. 5.
The note said the experiences and subscription video on demand segments are likely to drive growth while sports EBIT decline due to higher sports rights costs and box office remains soft.
The company is expected to report Q3 EPS of $1.91, up about 18% from a year ago, on revenue of $25.4 billion, the report said. The consensus is for EPS of $1.85.
The note also said domestic attendance is expected to have improved in Q3 as headwinds from last year's Epic Universe opening and global visitation were partially lapped.
UBS kept its buy rating while lowering its price target to $133 from $138.
