Apple (AAPL) is raising prices for Apple Music subscription plans, marking its first rate increase for the service since fall 2022, citing higher music licensing costs, multiple outlets reported Friday.
The new pricing is effective in many markets worldwide, including the U.S., where the individual plan is rising to $11.99 per month from $10.99, according to the report.
The family plan, covering up to six accounts, is increasing to $19.99 monthly from $16.99, while the student plan is rising to $6.99 from $5.99, the reports said.
