Vortex Metals (VMS.V) upsized a non-brokered private placement of share units to CA$1.4 million, up from its original CA$1 million target, it said Tuesday.
The company will now place to up to 28-million units at CA$0.05 each and made up of a share and one half of a three-year warrant to buy a share for CA$0.06.
The company closed the first tranche of the offering on Aug. 11 by issuing 9.71-million units, and plans to close a second tranche of up to 18.29-million units for gross proceeds of up to CA$914,500 by Oct. 24.
The company will use proceeds to advance exploration activities at its projects in Chile and Mexico, pursue corporate development initiatives and for general working capital, it said.
The company's shares last traded Sept. 21, closing at CA$0.04 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
