Vortex Energy (VRTX.CN) has agreed to acquire the Meadows Project in Saskatchewan from Global Strategic Minerals for 255,000 Canadian dollars in cash, the company said Thursday.
The Meadows Project is composed of about 21,609 hectares across 338 Crown parcels in northwestern Saskatchewan. The project has the potential to be explored for salt with potential applications for compressed air energy storage and hydrogen storage.
The acquisition also includes all technical information and governmental authorizations relating to the project. The transaction is scheduled to close on Oct. 1, subject to customary closing conditions, including governmental and regulatory approvals.
