Vizsla Copper (VCU.V) has acquired through staking the Miller copper-gold porphyry project in British Columbia, the company said on Wednesday.
The road-accessible project is contiguous with Centerra Gold's (CG.TO) Mount Milligan mine and is a cost-effective exploration opportunity, Vizsla said.
A project-wide airborne survey will begin in the coming weeks to image subsurface resistivity and conductivity to a depth up to two kilometers. These target areas will be further investigated and refined in 2027 with soil and rock geochemical surveys.
"Miller builds upon our strong copper-led portfolio in Alaska and B.C. and supports our long-term objective of progressing our more advanced projects while continuing to build upon our pipeline of discovery-focused assets, providing multiple pathways for value creation," said Vizsla Chief Executive Officer Craig Parry.
"We see a significant opportunity to capitalize on the growing copper demand and increasing need for responsibly produced supply from stable North American jurisdictions," he added.
Vizsla Copper shares were unchanged at CA$1.25 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
