Vitrafy Life Sciences (ASX:VFY) struck a deal to install its cryopreservation ecosystem at Charter Medical's Innovation Hub in North Carolina, marking Vitrafy's entry into the US cell and gene therapy market, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The agreement has an initial term of six months with deployment to occur in the second half of fiscal 2027. Vitrafy said no revenue will be generated across the initial term.
The installation will include one Guardion cryopreservation freezing unit and the LifeChain software platform. Charter Medical will use the technology to support cryopreservation and freeze-curve optimization studies for its cell and gene therapy customers.
