Visible Gold Mines (VGD.V) agreed to selll its MgaLi project in Quebec to PMET Resources (PMET.TO) and Noranda Royalties, it said Monday.
The company said PMET will buy a 100% interest in the company's wholly owned 78 exclusive exploration rights that make up the MegaLi lithium property, and a 100% interest in 41 exclusive exploration rights owned by Noranda Royalties, in Quebec's James Bay region.
Visible Gold will receive a cash payment of C$201,000 from PMET for the project. PMET will grant Visible Gold a 1.34% net smelter returns royalty on the properties. PMET can buy back half of the royalty for C$670,000 and also has an option to then acquire the remainder for C$2.01 million.
PMET also granted a 0.66% net smelter returns royalty on the properties to Noranda, which royalty is also subject to buyback rights for an aggregate amount of C$1.3 million, it said.
Shares of Visible Gold were last seen up C$0.01, or 7.7%, to C$0.14 on the TSX Venture Exchange. PMET shares were up C$0.09, or 1.8%, to C$5.14 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
