Viridian Metals (VRDN.CN), up near 12% on last look, on Tuesday flagged an exploration target of 41 to 61 million tonnes grading 0.35% to 0.52% copper equivalent (CuEq) for part of its Kraken project in Labrador.
The conceptual target for Kraken Main is based on a modeled average mineralized thickness of 8.6 meters, and does not include any drilling that has been completed so far in 2026, the company said.
"The important thing about this initial target is what is not in it," said Viridian Metals Chief Executive Officer Tyrell Sutherland. "It is based on an average mineralized thickness of just 8.6 meters, includes none of our 2026 drilling and covers only Kraken Main within a broader system containing over 60 conductors. With relatively sparse drilling informing the target, there remains a great deal to learn about the thickness and continuity of this zone."
Viridian shares were last seen up CA$0.08 at CA$0.76 on the Canadian Securities Exchange.
