Vietnam's foreign direct investment rose 9.6% year over year to about $9.75 billion in the first five months of 2026, the National Statistics Office reported Wednesday.
FDI grew from $7.40 billion in the first four months and exceeded analysts' forecast of $9.1 billion, according to Trading Economics data.
Total registered foreign investment in the country as of the end of May increased 35% year over year to $24.8 billion.
