Vector Science & Therapeutics (PAIN.V) said Monday that the first of four planned manufacturing suites at its LyoGenesis Manufacturing facility in Wisconsis is now producing pharma-grade peptides.
The first suite can produce 55,000 vials per month, which has been presold, a statement said. The three remaining LyoGenesis Manufacturing suites will come online in the second half of next month.
Outside of GLP-1, which manages type 2 diabetes and aids in weight loss, Vector will focus production on top-selling peptides and complementary compounds to meet growing demand for peptides in the US.
Vector expects to retain an 80% margin on each sale.
The company's shares were last seen up C$0.05, to C$1.88, on the TSX Venture Exchange.
