Vector Science & Therapeutics (PAIN.V) plans to build a distributor network to support the commercialization of its peptide portfolio, the company said Tuesday.
Peptides are short-chain amino acids and function as the building blocks of proteins. Vector's peptide portfolio, which have not been medically approved for any indication, is targeting areas of musculoskeletal conditions, soft tissue injury, and degenerative joint disease. Vector's offerings span orthopedic, sports, and regenerative medicine, a statement said.
The company's network will aim to place Vector's peptide-based products directly in places where these conditions are managed like sports medicine practices, outpatient surgery centers, and athletic training environments.
Vector shares were last seen up C$0.06, to C$1.68, on the TSX Venture Exchange.
