The U.S. government imposed sanctions on multiple entities and individuals in Hong Kong and mainland China for allegedly supporting procurement and financial networks linked to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Iranian military.
Among them are entities that helped procure weapons for the Iranian military, and a Hong Kong-based company that works with Iran's clandestine banking network.
The sanctions are part of a broader U.S. effort to disrupt Iran's military procurement and financing channels, Treasury said.
