The US Q2 current account deficit widened to $246.02 billion from a revised $212.60 billion in the previous quarter, compared with expectations of a $257.4 billion deficit in a survey compiled by Bloomberg as of 7:32 am ET.
The wider current account deficit reflected a larger goods and services gap, partially offset by smaller primary income and secondary income gaps.
