US new single family home sales are expected to rise to a 606,000 annual rate in June based on a survey compiled by Bloomberg, after falling to a 580,000 annual rate in May.
Sales would still be below the 665,000 annual rate reported in June 2025.
The data are scheduled to be released at 10:00 am ET Friday.
Supply of new homes for sale was below its year-ago level in last month's report for May, while prices were higher.
Single-family existing home sales fell by 2.4% in June, according to data released on July 9, but were up 3.3% from a year ago.
Recent mortgage application data from the Mortgage Bankers Association indicated that mortgage rates fell modestly in June.
Home building data for April released on July 17 showed a decline in building permits but gains in both housing starts and in home completions, adding to the supply of new homes for sale.
The National Association of Home Builders reported on July 16 that builder sentiment fell to 36 in June from 37 in May before declining further to 34 in July, noting continued affordability challenges.
