Transocean (RIG) shares rose 7.6% in Tuesday trading after the company said it signed an $80 million two-well contract for the Deepwater Conqueror drillship with an undisclosed operator for work in Equatorial Guinea.
Deepwater Conqueror will undertake an estimated 170-day campaign, set to begin in 2027.
The contract is expected to contribute about $80 million in backlog, excluding additional services and compensation for mobilization and demobilization, Transocean said.
