Tompkins Financial (TMP) shares were up over 6% in Friday afternoon trading following better-than-expected Q2 results.
Earlier, the company reported Q2 earnings of $2.04 per diluted share, up from $1.50 a year earlier.
Two analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.82.
Revenue for the quarter ended June 30, expressed as the sum of net interest income and total noninterest income, was $87.1 million, up from $82.6 million a year earlier.
Two analysts expected $86.9 million.
Tompkins raised its quarterly dividend to $0.70 per share from $0.67, payable on Aug. 14 to shareholders of record Aug. 7.
