Blackstone (BX) has held early talks with investors to assess their interest in a second massive debt package to finance Anthropic's use of chips from Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
One early proposal was for at least $36 billion, while the size, structure and whether Blackstone will lead the financing are unknown, the report said.
Blackstone and Apollo Global Management (APO) finalized a $35 billion debt deal two months ago to fund Anthropic's lease of Google's chips, the report said.
Anthropic declined to comment, while the other companies didn't immediately reply to requests for comment from.
