Amazon (AMZN) Chief Executive Andy Jassy raised concerns to the Trump administration about security risks that Anthropic's most advanced models pose before the Trump administration imposed export restrictions on those models, The Information reported Saturday, citing two people familiar with the conversations.
Amazon, which is one of Anthropic's biggest investors and vendors, helped set in motion the restrictions on Claude Mythos 5 and Fable 5 that were imposed late Friday night and suspended access to foreign nationals, the report said, citing the people.
Anthropic said it disabled access to the models for all customers to comply.
"As a leading cloud provider that serves a large number of private and public sector customers, it's not uncommon for governments to seek our counsel on potential security risks," an Amazon spokesperson told. "When they occur, we don't share the details of these discussions."
Anthropic did not immediately reply to a request for comment from.
