Ukraine Strikes Russia's Taneco Refinery, Tamanneftegaz Terminal

Ukraine's military launched strikes on Russia's Taneco oil refinery in Tatarstan and Tamanneftegaz oil terminal in Krasnodar, igniting fires at both facilities, the Ukrainian General Staff confirmed via its official Telegram channel on Thursday.

The Taneco facility located in Nizhnekamsk, possesses a crude processing capacity of up to 16 million tonnes per year.

Tatneft, operator of the Taneco refinery did not respond to' request for comments immediately.

Simultaneously, the Tamanneftegaz complex in Volny is a key Black Sea transshipment hub capable of handling up to 19.9 million tonnes annually of oil, petroleum products, and liquefied hydrocarbon gases.

The terminal acts as a critical link transferring fuel products from rail transport to sea vessels to meet Russian operational needs.
