Offshore drilling services provider Transocean (RIG) said Thursday it will mobilize its Dhirubhai Deepwater KG2 drillship in India beginning in Q1 2027, following a two-year contract award from Oil and Natural Gas Corp.
The $300 million-contract also has a provision for a two-year extension, according to the statement.
Dhirubhai Deepwater is one of Transocean's 20 ultra-deepwater floaters. The company said it also operates seven harsh environment floaters, bringing its entire fleet of drilling units to 27.
