Traction Uranium (TRAC.CN) has begun an airborne radiometric survey at the Aurora Uranium Project, in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin region, the company said Thursday.
The survey is expected to help in identifying areas for future ground follow-up, target validation, and potential drill-target refinement, said the company.
The company has an option to acquire an 80% interest in Aurora from Cosa Resources (COSA.V), subject to certain earn-in requirements being met, said Traction Uranium.
"The Athabasca Basin is one of the most productive uranium districts in the world, and this program gives us our first project-wide read on where the radiometric signal is strongest across our 17 kilometers of strike," said Chief Executive Officer Jared Suchan. "That is exactly the kind of data we need to determine where to concentrate next."
