Toyota Motor (TM) said Wednesday it is recalling about 82,000 model year 2024-2025 Land Cruiser, Mirai, Lexus UX and GX vehicles in the US due to a software issue that could cause parts of the instrument cluster display to go blank during startup.
The automaker said some warning lights and indicators may fail to appear, meaning the vehicles would not meet federal safety requirements and could increase the risk of a crash or injury if drivers do not receive critical alerts.
Toyota said dealers will update the combination meter software free of charge. Notifications to owners are expected to begin by late July.
