Toromont Industries (TIH.TO) received approval from the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) to make a normal course issuer bid (NCIB) for a portion of its common shares, it said in a statement on Tuesday.
The company is entitled to buy back up to 8.2-million common shares, about 10% of its 81.5-million common shares in the "public float" as of Sept. 11. Purchases may start on Sept. 24, 2026, and continue until Sept. 23, 2027, it said.
Shares of the company closed up 3.2% to CA$211.23 on Monday on the TSX.
