Scribe Therapeutics (SCTX) has priced an upsized initial public offering of 8.6 million shares at $15 apiece, it said late Thursday.

Additionally, Scribe Therapeutics agreed to sell 500,000 of its shares at $15 apiece to Sanofi (SNY) in a concurrent private placement, which is expected to close on Monday.

Shares of Scribe Therapeutics surged 47%. Intraday trading volume stood at over 544,000.

Safety Insurance (SAFT) stock soared 41% amid heavy trading after the company agreed to be acquired by an affiliate of Mapfre in a $1.54 billion all-cash deal, it said late Thursday.

More than 691,000 shares of Safety Insurance traded intraday compared with a daily average of about 113,000.

NIP (NIPG) has regained compliance with Nasdaq's minimum bid price requirement after receiving confirmation from the exchange on July 21, the company said Friday.

Shares jumped 35%, with intraday trading volume rising to more than 56,000 versus the stock's daily average of about 11,000.
