Top Cryptocurrencies Rise; Bitcoin Tops $86,000 Level

Major digital assets rose Monday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) topping the $86,000 level.

The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, rose 5.7% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 rose 2.9%, the S&P 500 added 1.6%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 0.8%.

Bitcoin gained 6.5% to $86,502, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume increased 140.7% to $51.93 billion.

Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, added 4.9% to $2,763.

XRP (XRP-USD) gained 6.4%, BNB (BNB-USD) rose 3.9%, and Solana (SOL-USD) surged 7%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) increased 12%, while Cardano (ADA-USD) advanced 6.7%.

The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry rose 5.4% in the past 24 hours to $2.93 trillion, with trading volume gaining 99.3% to $140.4 billion.
