Major digital assets rose Monday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) topping $60,000.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, rose almost 2.8% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 climbed 2%, the S&P 500 gained 1.1%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 0.6%.
Bitcoin rose 2% to $60,445, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume rose 111.6% to $32.17 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, added 4.2% to $1,622.
XRP (XRP-USD) rose 3.2%, BNB (BNB-USD) added 2.5%, and Solana (SOL-USD) surged 7.8%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) increased 1.6%, while Cardano (ADA-USD) gained 3.4%.
The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.374% at 3 p.m. ET Monday, up from 4.371% Friday, while the five-year yield rose to 4.142% from 4.128%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry rose 2.1% in the past 24 hours to $2.09 trillion, with trading volume gaining almost 93% to $82.14 billion.
