Major digital assets were mixed on Tuesday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) lower but holding above the $78,000 level.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, eased 0.1% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 edged down 0.1%, the S&P 500 declined 0.5%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased 1.1%.
Bitcoin fell 1.3% to around $78,322, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume rose 37.6% to $34.28 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, lost 0.7% to $2,477.
XRP (XRP-USD) rose 1.2%, BNB (BNB-USD) added 0.9%, and Solana (SOL-USD) fell 1.3%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) declined 1.1%, while Cardano (ADA-USD) decreased 0.2%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry fell 0.8% in the past 24 hours to $2.68 trillion, with trading volume rising 16.1% to $88.9 billion.
