Major digital assets were higher on Thursday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) holding above the $80,000 level.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, rose 3.5% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 edged up 1.4%, the S&P 500 gained 0.6%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.1%.
Bitcoin gained 2% to around $80,108.9, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume rose 12.4% to $34.89 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, rose 1.4% to $2,513.3.
XRP (XRP-USD) rose 4.7%, BNB (BNB-USD) gained 1.6%, and Solana (SOL-USD) increased 12.6%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) gained 3.9%, while Cardano (ADA-USD) increased 4%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry rose 2.4% in the past 24 hours to $2.7 trillion, with trading volume rising 21.2% to $98.01 billion.
